I'm loving the stories. And enjoying that it is dubbed even though I don't mind subtitles.
It is a mixture of bad direction, bad acting and bad editing, especially when the characters show fear. The scares are also flat along with the effects and characterizations.
The Grudge was one my favorite horror film as a kid and they came out with a show. I had no idea about this show.
Absolutely awful. It's boring and nothing scary even happens.
In episode 5 a car with LED headlights appears ... in 1995!
It's been a while since there's been a good "Ju-On" anything, so this chilling miniseries is a very welcome addition to the franchise. It surpasses most of the previous films in terms of atmosphere and genuine scares, becoming visceral and genuinely disturbing.
I've just finished watching this series and I'm torn. Torn in the fact that I loved the original films (the American ones were OK) but pretty disappointed with this series, and I so wanted to like this BECAUSE of the films.
I knew and expected it not to have to totally do with the movies. More so a story leading up to the first ju-on.
