Very entertaining as a whole but could have been so much better if Brendan Gleason wasn't in the role. He is totally out of his depth to do this role justice....
Casting is appealing and beautifully heterogeneous, however I think that the story tilts back and forth from being realistic to supernatural at the expense of the viewer. Vagueness is ok with me as long as the mind tricks enhance the experience and are not put in there just for the "what if" factor.
Loved this show, hope there is another season, all the cast are excellent, Brendan Gleason and Harry Treadaway are both superb, Harry playing madness effortlessly (as in Penny dreadful) and I love the developing relationship between Bill and Holly. Holland Taylor as Ida is just so cool..
This is an abomination of the book.In the book, Hodges is retired and grumpy but a good man at heart.
The DA in season 3 is one of the most unbelievably typecast, wooden farce of a character and truly bringing the show down. Not a good performance or smart writing for that part but the rest of the cast and show is solid.
Season one was awesome. Haven't watched seson 2 yet?
This show is one of the worst out there. Because of the high ratings, I tried to watch a few episodes.
My review is in regards to season1. As i personally gave season 2&3 a miss.
